Projects at Tres Andreas: The terrazzo

Things are coming together in the terrazzo! Take a quick walk through with us as we show off the new concrete counters, a proper two-basin sink, and — hallelujah — electricity (which means fans, a full-size fridge, and a real countertop stove are all officially in the works). The serving counter got a fresh tile job this weekend, hand-laid and proudly imperfect. Next up: tearing out the old funky counter next to it so the whole space can match, plus finishing the smoker, comal, and wood-fired pizza oven that are still taking shape.

It's slow, hands-on work — one tile, one counter, one small win at a time — but that's exactly the pace this place asks for. (And judging by the cats sprawled out on the new concrete, we're not the only ones who approve.)
